For students to do well in this course:

It is essential that students demonstrate a satisfactory achievement in Level 2 Health, where they have attained a robust comprehension of Hauora as a fundamental concept, in conjunction with the socio-ecological perspective. This will enable them to navigate the diverse subjects encompassing sexuality, managing change, & health promotion.

This course will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the four foundational Health concepts: Hauora, attitudes and values, the socio-ecological perspective, and health promotion. Topics include the analysis of health issues in New Zealand, investigation of local health practices, and engaging in discussions and evaluations of ethical practices and matters specific to New Zealand. Moreover, you will enhance your knowledge surrounding the determinants of Health.
