Level 3 Maths with Calculus

Course Description

To do this course…

Students should have achieved at least 12 credits in Level 2 Maths.

What you do in this course…

You will build on what you learnt in Level 2 Maths, and get to explore new areas like linear programming, conic sections and complex numbers.  There are also topics in Trigonometry, Integration, Differentiation and Critical Path Analysis.

There is a mix of Internal and External assessments offered.

This is a good choice if…

  • You enjoyed Maths in Year 12
  • You’re a “numbers” person and you enjoy mathematical tasks and learning
  • You are looking at attaining UE 

 

On the Subject Pathway Map, this subject is University Approved (14 credits possible from Internals)

Recommended Prior Learning

It is advisable to have studied the Level 2 Mathematics (211) course.
