Level 3 Printmaking

Course Description

To do this course…

Students should have an interest in drawing and enjoy working with their hands.  It would be useful if students have completed Level 2 Art course, but students who have talent or a strong interest in Art are also welcome.

What you do in this course…

You will learn about printmaking technique and develop your current skills.  You will explore where ideas for artworks come from by learning about artist models and ways of working visually.  This will help you to develop your own ideas through learning about self-selected artist’s themes, ideas and technique.

 

Assessment for this course is a mix of Internal standards and a completed Folio of work from across the year.

  • You enjoy artistic and creative expression, especially working with your hands   
  • You have a strong work ethic and solid time management
  • You are looking at attaining UE
