Students should have interest and talent in painting and drawing. It would be useful if students have completed a Level 2 Art course, but students who have talent or a strong interest in Art are also welcome. |
What you do in this course… |
You will build develop your current skills in painting, and learn about where ideas for artworks come from. You will also learn how to develop your own ideas through learning about self-selected artists’ themes, ideas and technique. The main aspects in the course will be painting technique, idea development, and understanding the meaning of Art. Assessment for this course is a mix of Internal standards and a completed Folio of work from across the year. |

Recommended Prior Learning
Open Entry Homework and after school workshops are compulsory.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
All students must have a 60 page Visual Diary, a pencil and an eraser.
