Level 1 Dance

To do this course…

Students must have an interest in Dance and be prepared to share work informally and formally.  This course can involve performing to a live audience.

What you do in this course…

You will explore the elements of dance, complete performances of dance sequences learnt in different styles, and develop the use of ensemble skills within choreography and performance.  Through these skills you will develop control and discipline, and work collaboratively.

You will need to have a good attendance in order to meet rehearsal and performance requirements.

This is a good choice if…

• You enjoy expressing yourself creatively through performance
• You have a strong work ethic and excellent time management
• You are interested in studying Dance at UE level in Years 12 and 13
