Course Description

To do this course…

Students should be interested in future careers in the photgraphic industry

What you do in this course…

You will refine and develop your current skills in image making and will learn how to communicate ideas through pictorial conventions such as composition, camera angle, framing, format, contrast etc.     You will also learn how to develop your own ideas through learning about self-selected artists’ themes, ideas and technique

You will need to be able to think independently, creatively and imaginatively to develop your own ideas.

You would also need take photographs in your own time and attend after school tutorials.

 

Assessment for this course is a mix of Internal standards and a completed Folio of work from across the year.

  • You’re interested in photographic techniques and processes
  • You enjoy thinking independently, creatively and imaginatively
  • You have a strong work ethic and excellent time management
  • You are looking at attaining UE

 

On the Subject Pathway Map, this subject leads to a UE-approved subject at Level 3

 

Recommended Prior Learning

Open Entry Homework and after school workshops are compulsory.
