Level 2 Applied Mathematics

To do this course…

Students need to have achieved at least 10 Level 1 Mathematics credits to be successful with this course.

What you do in this course…

You will build on what you learnt in Level 1 Maths, and continue to develop skills and logical thinking.  Topics include coordinate geometry, networks, trigonometry, simulations and statistical analysis, and you will also look at developing some financial management skills.

This course only offers Internal assessments.

This is a good choice if…

• You did OK at Maths in Year 11 and want to carry on with it
• You want to get better at number skills, mathematical tasks and learning
• You are looking at studying Maths in Year 13

On the Subject Pathway Map, this subject leads to a UE-approved subject at Level 3
