Level 2 Physics

To do this course…

Students should have completed the Level 1 Physics course and gained a minimum of 7 credits.

What you do in this course…

This course provides you with the understanding of Physics concepts and phenomena relating to the core components, including Modern Physics, Wave systems, Mechanical systems, Electrical systems and Practical investigation.

There is a mix of Internal and External assessments offered.

This is a good choice if…

• You enjoyed Physics in Year 11
• You’re a “Science” person and you enjoy physics and science-based tasks and learning
• You are intending to study for qualifications that require it (for example, Engineering)
• You are looking at attaining UE

On the Subject Pathway Map, this subject leads to a UE-approved subject at Level 3
