Level 2 Outdoor Education

Course Description

To do this course…

Students must have good levels of attendance, and commit to participating in all outside provider courses, physical trainings and leadership qualifications.

What you do in this course…

Level 2 Outdoor Education is a course that offers our ākonga unique outdoor experiences that allow them to explore and connect to te taiao while pushing them out of their comfort zone to help them grow as individuals. Through outdoor activities such as; tramping, camping, mountain biking, rock climbing, swimming, and  water safety, our students will learn how to care for our wider environment, some bush survival skills, navigation skills, how to identify and assess outdoor risks, how to minimise, reduce or eliminate outdoor risks, how to be safe in and around the water, further develop their self-management skills, and further develop their interpersonal skills

You will need to maintain attendance at 90% or better in order to meet course requirements.

This course only offers Internal assessments.

  • You are looking at attaining UE 

On the Subject Pathway Map, this subject leads to a UE-approved subject at Level 3

Open Entry Note: you cannot take both Outdoor Education and Sports Leadership in the same year.
