Students must have an interest in History and enjoy reading and writing critically and creatively.

 

What you do in this course…

You will study the themes of colonization, imperialism, and social liberation in these contexts:

➢ American history through Black eyes (this course covers the period from before slavery to Presidency of Donald Trump)

➢ Polynesian Panthers and Dawn Raids

➢ Treaty of Waitangi and the Waikato Wars

 

There is a mix of Internal and External assessments offered.

This is a good choice if…

  • You’re interested in history, world events and critical thinking 
  • You enjoy reading and writing-based tasks
  • You are looking at attaining UE
